Key responsibilities: 

• Participate in the development and implementation of the Business Development (BD) plan whilst identifying and implementing new BD initiatives to achieve business targets
• Obtain a detailed understanding of potential clients, with a focus on profitable revenue generation
• Identify and win new business
• Advise on strategic initiatives including product development as needed
• Assist in drafting clients’ proposals in line with the clients’ needs and/ or business requirements
• Manage efficiently and cost-effectively the leads generation process through to the closing of deals
• Build the business’ brand to generate quality leads by identifying relevant industry events, branded events, and other opportunities to raise the brand profile.
• Build strong relationships with existing and/or potential business introducers

Role specific/Technical skills:

• Relevant industry knowledge and familiarity with AML/CFT and risk assessment
• Capacity to develop a solid understanding of the compliance and regulatory business framework in the relevant jurisdictions
• Excellent research, analysis and report writing skills
• Excellent written and spoken English and French
• Knowledge and familiarity with a network of relevant industry stakeholders in the African and Middle East region would be an advantage

• Previous BD experience in Africa and the Middle East would be a definitive advantage

Education:

• Holder of a 1st degree along with any relevant professional qualification
